Preview: Pleasure Principle Festival 2013

Arriving very soon in April is the very first Pleasure Principle festival, a three day weekender formed by Glaswegian party-starters Numbers and Dedbeat.

On Your Mind - Deadboy [Numbers]

Dedbeat festival ran from 2001-2004 at a coastal UK holiday park, playing host to heroes such as Aphex Twin and Madlib. At the time there was nothing around really like it. The intention for Dedbeat was always to return in a new form, but with the same music standards. For Numbers this is another stage in their evolution. Since both crews met through Dedbeat’s festivals over a decade ago, the new association for Pleasure Principle has genuine meaning.

From Friday 26th to Sunday 28th April, Pleasure Principle descends on Newquay, Cornwall. The programme is predictably eclectic and oozing with quality. Expect to see firm Hush House favourites such as Levon Vincent, L.I.E.S., Move D, John Talabot, Legowelt and The Trilogy Tapes alongside many more of electronic music's freshest and most innovative acts.

Ferns of Draconis - Legowelt [L.I.E.S.]

The weekender takes place in Trevelgue Holiday Park, in a sprawling green valley and within walking distance of the beach. Accommodation is provided by on-site static caravans and camping, whilst there is also a wealth of local B&B’s, hotels and rental cottages in close proximity.

Dancer - Robert Hood [M-Plant]

Tickets are available from £115. Check out the full line-up and grab tickets at website. You can also find them on Facebook or at their Twitter. Don't sleep on this one, it's sure to be something special.
